Its once in a while that authors observe and pen down observations which define greatness. Books have been written about Great Men, Great Wars and Great Civilizations which define greatness for others to follow. Leaders, Presidents, Kings and Statesmen are what immediately come to mind when defining the word and its always a feeling of “great” distance when relating to these people who shaped and defined countries, civilizations and destiny of mankind.
It was a very intriguing article to read about the “Greatest Generation”, a book on a generation which by qualities of an entire generation built a great nation.
I am still looking for this book and hope it reaches Indian shores soon.
While this may seem to be all about the “American Dream” and “Americans and their country”, I believe the qualities mentioned here go beyond boundaries and are essential to making of many more “Americas”. I also think that this is not just an Art Of Manliness article, it goes beyond the sexes in becoming better humans.
