The attack is over. The security forces, the people are rejoicing. The count of the dead now begins as the security forces scan the hotel. TV Shows have started commending the security forces for a job well done, FM Radio Shows have started inviting calls from the users sharing their views on how it happened and how was it dealt with.
The analysis paralysis has started. Common targets are the politicians, intelligence failure, lack of coordination amongst security forces, and also foreign hand in helping these terrorists.
Everyone from all over the world is united in grief at what happened here in Mumbai. Security Intel from the Israel, US and UK are collaborating with Indian Intel to analyze this ordeal.
It is now payback time. Every drop of blood spilt here must be avenged equal to the body count of the enemies. Those citizens and soldiers who were martyred must be given justice.
Somewhere the masterminds who designed this carnage and were responsible in corrupting, poisoning and eventually brainwashing young men in to submission to carry out such a suicide mission must rejoice at the success of their mission. They wanted to send out a message to the Indian “Infidels” and they must revel as the death count rose, whether it was man, woman or child. And they must have felt proud as they would have heard of each of their boys being “martyred” at the hands of the infidel army of satan.
And I ask this.
If we are rejoicing that we have killed the terrorists who killed in cold blood (which they did)
If the sinister masterminds are rejoicing at a successful Fidayeen mission which sent out a loud and clear messageby stricking terror at the heart of an infidel city,
If the militants who were rejoicing at fulfilling a mandate of God in cleaning the earth of infidels and avenging the death of fellow brothers all over the world,
If everyone won – who lost ?
Sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters lost.
I dare say here that I dont just mean the citizens of India who were killed in the shameless violence. I mean everyone who died citizen, soldier, “terrorist” alike.
Humanity lost.
With time, the vicious circle of fear, anger leading to violence, leading to more fear, leading to more anger continues. It increases its span of control over humankind as this fear, anger and violence manifests in different places in different ways.
Humankind gets polarized in to religions, countries, ethnic groups and the rot divides even deeper.
It is time to wake-up mankind. To create an army with soldiers, commandos and specialists and arm them with weapons of love, compassion and healing to break this fast escalating vicious circle which is fast spiralling in to a global confrontation.
I start here as I refuse to be drawn in to the revenge atmosphere which has been created all over. For me it stops here.
