I was browsing through digg and I decided to do something innovative. I looked up the most popular articles in the past 365 days. One of them caught my eye.
A guy who took a photo a day for some 18 years. The article about this feat is written very well here.

I felt a twitch in my heart to know that an ordinary man decided to have an extraordinary hobby. One which requires perseverance, discipline and integrity of the extreme nature. Perseverance to continue doing a thing for 18 long years with integrity in that he won’t cheat on a single day or make up for a week or so by back dating photos.
If the feat in itself not so inspiring, what is however is the twists and turns in this man’s life. And finally his tragic death.
I tried to look back in my own to see what are the things which I have been so focused on (if ever). I’ve had various stints with many things over time and then moved on to the rest. But talking of a daily to-do thingie ? I have had hobbies and passions over the year. There was ham radio, Short waver radio, Astronomy (which is still a first love) and so many other things including maintaining a daily diary etc.
However coming back to a daily-task, I can only think of my tooth brush which I use faithfully every single day. Not even the soap, because there are days when I have decided to skip it too.
This article sure deserves a read and admiration for Jamie Livingston.
